Matt and Chris are the owners of Palin & Way and the driving force behind everything that Palin and Way Pet Supplies represent.

Along with their team they have over 20 years of experience working with people, and a lifelong love of animals, they have built the business around honest advice, quality products, and genuine care.

The inspiration behind the shop came from Matt’s own journey caring for his disabled dog, Yuna. After years of navigating specialist treatments, nutrition, mobility support, and day-to-day challenges, Matt saw how difficult it could be for pet owners to find practical help they could truly trust. That experience shaped the values of the business today.

Explore Our Store

Rather than creating just another pet shop, Matt and Chris wanted to build a place where animal welfare comes first. Every product is chosen with care, based on experience, quality, and whether it is something they would use or feed for their own animals. From natural feeding advice to support for disabled pets, the focus is always on helping customers make informed choices that genuinely benefit their animals.

For Matt and Chris this is more than just a business — it is personal.

And our ethos, passion, care and love is exactly what makes the shop different.

Pets change lives and here we also remember the ones we’ve lost, if you need support come visit us and add a memory to the roots of remembrance tree.

FAQ

Why did you open the store?
Everything changed when Matt’s disabled dog, Yuna, became seriously unwell. After losing the use of her back legs at a young age, Yuna needed round-the-clock care, specialist support, and a huge amount of dedication. During those years, Matt and his partner faced the reality so many pet owners know all too well — conflicting advice, expensive treatments, limited options, and the feeling that truly practical support was hard to find.
That journey completely changed Matt’s outlook on pet care.
It led him to question what was really in pet food, what products genuinely helped, and what pet owners actually needed day to day. It also sparked a particular passion for supporting disabled dogs, including access to mobility wheels and better practical solutions for pets with additional needs.
When the opportunity came to take on the shop, Matt didn’t just want to create another pet store. He wanted to build a place that was honest, knowledgeable, welcoming, and different.
How do you select the items you sell?
We carefully choose the products we stock based on quality, practicality, affordability, and experience. If it is not something Matt would use for his own animals, it does not go on the shelf. That means no gimmicks, no pushing products for the sake of it, and no following trends that do not truly benefit pets. Instead, we focus on natural, thoughtful options and real advice tailored to each animal and owner.
Whether you are looking for better nutrition, natural treats, raw feeding guidance, support for an older dog, help with sensitive stomachs, or advice for a disabled pet, you will always be met with understanding and honesty.
Can i just pop in for advice?
Of course! The idea for the store was built on lived experience, hard work, compassion, and a genuine love for animals. From dogs and cats to small pets, poultry, and rescue animals, the aim has always been the same: to create a place where animal welfare comes first and where customers feel supported, not sold to.
For Matt, the most important part of the business is simple: making time for people, sharing knowledge, and helping pets live happier, healthier lives.
